How to Fix the Corrupted USB or Flash Drive - Step by Step Guide

It is observed that people find it very difficult to repair their USB flash card. That makes them frustrated. I will give you super easy way in details to repair the corrupted USB flash.

Why USB Corrupts:

Always keep in mind that this problem is caused by different types of viruses that creates the bad sectors in the memory cards. These bad sectors make the memory card useless. When you try to open the USB drive, it says that it is not accessible. The.The file or directory is corrupted and unreadable.Even these bad sectors can’t be erased by normal formatting. Let’s start our Demonstration.

Press Window + R. it will open a RUN menu. In the search bar of this menu type “cmd” that stands for command prompt. As you can see on your screen. I have also written the all commands in the description for your help. I have zoom out the display for your convenience. In this window first command will be disk part. press enter.It will show the version and copyright act of Microsoft. we have no concern with all these features. Second command is list disk. After pressing enter it will show all disk drives in this computer. As you can see that there are three dives, disk 0, disk 1 and disk. Disk 2 is the USB flash card that we are going to repair.

Next command will be select disk. we have to select the desired disk from above list of disk drives. In our case it is disk 2. So click on the disk 2. A you can see that it says “disk 2 is now the selected disk”.

Next command is clean and enter. it will clean the disk 2. it will say that diskpart succeeded in cleaning the disk. after that we have to create the primary partition. so write,

create partition primary and press enter. diskpart succeeded in creating the s

specified partition.

In our case it is disk 2. Now its time for our last command and it is related to formatting of the selected disk. so write the command “format fs=fat32. fs stands for file system. you can also use ntfs but i suggests you to use FAT.After writing the command press enter. You can see that it has started formatting the selected disk 2. It will take sometime to format the disk so i pause the video and restart again when it is formatted.

Now it has been formatted 99%. After it completes the formatting we will check the status of the USB again. Now it says that diskpart successfully formatted the volume. Now go to our computer drives and see Disk 2 is now showing its memory status. You can also check its status in its properties.
